WARRANTY POLICY

01  Warranty Overview

Our warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship of umbrellas sold by Something Shady LLC. The warranty period starts from the date of purchase and extends for one year.  This period is calculated from the date of purchase as indicated on the original purchase receipt.

During the warranty period, Something Shady LLC will, at its discretion, repair or replace any umbrella found to have manufacturing defects. The decision to repair or replace will be based on the nature and extent of the defect. Something Shady LLC reserves the right to determine whether a defect falls within the scope of this warranty.

To make a warranty claim, the original purchaser must contact Something Shady LLC within the warranty period. Proof of purchase, such as the original receipt, must be provided. The defective umbrella may need to be returned to Something Shady LLC for inspection or repair.

02  Exclusions and Limitations of

        Liability

Exclusions:

This warranty does not cover damage or defects resulting from the following:

• Misuse, mishandling, or neglect of the umbrella

• Accidental damage, including but not limited to tears, cuts, or burns

• Exposure to extreme weather conditions or natural disasters

• Unauthorized repairs or modifications

• Normal wear and tear

Limitations of Liability:

Something Shady LLC shall not be held liable for any incidental or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the umbrella, including but not limited to loss of personal property or any other indirect damages. This warranty is the sole remedy provided by Something Shady LLC.

RETURN POLICY

01  Damage on Delivery

Most packaging is constructed to withstand normal handling during shipping, whether by standard ground or freight truck service. Occasionally, shippers mishandle boxes and the package, product or both are damaged. It's important to note this damage with the shipper at the time your order is delivered, regardless of whether you accept or reject the delivery, sometimes, the external packaging is intact, but the item inside is broken. 

Something Shady LLC must be notified of damaged items within 5 business days of delivery.

Customers must sign for the delivery and retain all packing materials, boxes, tubes, wrapping, etc until the merchandise is checked and no damages are evident. If the customer is unable to open the boxes and inspect at the time of delivery, please make sure that they do not sign their name on the Bill of Lading but write “PENDING INSPECTION” instead.

Call Something Shady LLC at 214.558.7785 to raise any issue with your order. This way, we can make sure that your claim is initiated within the freight companies timeframe, while you document the claim in writing and photographs.

02  Subjective Returns

We do accept subjective returns

Any item that is returned for credit that is not under the warranty policy is subject to a 25% restocking fee (and must be properly packaged) plus inbound and outbound freight charges.

Sending items across the country is expensive, especially large items that ship via freight. Therefore we have to recoup our expenses if you decide to return or exchange your items for subjective reasons. Consequently, you will be charged for our initial shipping expenses as well. You will also be financially responsible for shipping the items back to us.

Colors viewed on a screen, whether it's a computer, tablet or smartphone, can look different than when you see them on the item in person. Digital screens backlight images, making colors look lighter and more vivid. Similarly, many finishes are hand-applied and may appear different than in product photography used on our website.

We try to provide you with all dimensional information about a product. It's important to know, so you can make an informed buying decision. Additionally, we make the effort to display all available manufacturer images in order to give you an idea of an item's relative size. But sometimes, knowing the length, width, height or diameter still doesn't give you an idea of how the item will look in your space. Eyeballing an area, without actually measuring it can cause problems if you're not careful or have an experienced eye.
